Detailed Product Description

The Dynamic Revit Family 2D – Rectangular Column (Detail Item) is a fully parametric and highly flexible detail item designed specifically for structural engineers who require fast and accurate column detailing.

Developed in Revit 2024, this family utilizes parametric controls that automatically adjust the displayed column section and reinforcement based on the user’s input values.

1. Automatic Section Adjustment

• The geometry of the rectangular column adapts dynamically according to the input dimensions (width – length).
• The spacing and positioning of the longitudinal rebars update automatically to match the new section.

2. Integrated Cover & Longitudinal Bar Diameter

• Both the concrete cover and the longitudinal bar diameter adjust automatically when modified.
• For consistency and correct representation, it is recommended to keep the default values.

3. Automatic Longitudinal Reinforcement Text

• The reinforcement text describing the longitudinal bar layout is generated automatically.
• If for any reason the automatic value is not accurate, it can be edited manually via the dedicated parameter.

4. Stirrups Along the Height Direction

• Supports up to six dynamic stirrups.
• The first stirrup is always active.
• Additional stirrups can be activated independently.
• Each active stirrup adjusts automatically to the dimensions of the column and the position of the longitudinal rebars.

5. Stirrups Along the Width Direction

• Includes the option to activate an additional stirrup when required.
• Its activation depends on the number of longitudinal rebars along that side.

6. Fully Dynamic Behavior

• All active elements (rebars, stirrups, annotations, distances) update automatically based on the selected configuration.
• The output is clean, stable, and ideal for detailed reinforcement drawings.

• This family was created in Revit 2024 and is not compatible with older versions.
